Review: Pulling Doubles

Pulling Doubles Pulling Doubles by Christina C. Jones
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Pulling Doubles is the second book of the Wright Brothers series. Devyn Echols is finishing up her nursing internship and completing her advance practice license at the hospital, where she is working under Dr. Joseph Wright. Joseph Wright is attracted to Devyn, yet he finds amusement in giving her a hard time. If they are not debating, they are quarreling. Considering they are both attracted to each other, unknowing to the other, but that soon ends when the moment of anger turns into spontaneous steamy sex while on hospital duty.

I love how these two came together and their relationship development amid chaos. With Devyn having problems with her ex-boyfriend and dealing with health issues, Joseph shows great support and acts in securing her safety. At first, this story kind of reminded me of the soap operas I use to watch with my mother when I was young, except this story line was much more interesting and engaging. CCJ does not disappoint. I like the real talk, not hidden or reading in between the lines. CCJ tells it like it is, the cursing and all. It is real people talking about some real Shit.

This story had me engaged, anticipating on what was going to happen next, but also with the story ending abruptly, I know I am in for a treat with the next two books in the series. I could not put this book down. I highly recommend this book. I give it a 5- star rating.

Choice of Cast:
 Audrey Richtie as Devyn Echols
 Travis Cure as Dr. Joseph Wright
