Review: Bending The Rules

Bending The Rules Bending The Rules by Christina C. Jones
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Toni and Justin were the best of friends until one day a business deal cause conflict within their relationship and without question Toni broke off their friendship, unknowing there was a logical explanation that she chose not to hear. This was odd, because if they were true friends, it seems Toni would have at least listened to Justin’s side of the story, but instead she assumed the worse for seven years. Toni felt that Justin had betrayed their friendship. Initially, Justin did not communicate honestly with Toni that caused the confusion, but his reasons were valid. Toni’s feelings were so caught up in her hurt and emotions, she blocked out any explanation from Justin.

Justin is a bestselling author and when his book comes out and he is promoting in their hometown, Toni, the owner of Scattered Seeds publishing company is hosting the event. Things between the two starts to unfold and their friendship rekindles along with the hot steamy intimacy that develops. Once Toni and Justin’s communication were back on track, their relationship developed wonderfully. This story shows how the lack of communication can cause everything to go left and how being upfront and honest is a virtue, however for Justin it wasn’t a valid option at the time. Also, I like the fact that other characters from the series was mention in the book, it brought the whole series together.

The story line was very good, and I enjoyed reading it. I give this book 4 STARS! Good read!

Choice of Cast:
 Andrea Bordeaux as Toni
 Marshun Cooper as Justin
