This story was funny to me, almost unreal. Lucia Conners, shy and almost a thirty-year-old virgin that has this extreme crush on Derringer Westmoreland. Derringer gets hurt in a horse accident and rushed to the hospital, so Lucia rushes to the hospital in a rain storm to make sure he is alright, finding out that he has been released and resting at home, so she high tails it to his house. When she gets there, there is a package on the porch getting wet from the rain. Knowing he never locks his doors; she takes the package to put it in Derringer house. When she hears a crash and rushes to see if he is alright and finds him on the floor, high as a kite from the pain medications. From there the sexual encounter takes place. This child is willing to sleep with him knowing the state he is in and he probably won’t remember considering he does not even recognize who she is. Lucia figures she is almost thirty years old, so why not, if she was going to have sex with anyone, it might as well be Derringer, the man she loves, so she takes advantage of the situation.

I am not sure what to call this, considering Derringer made the first move, but in his state of mind, Lucia took advantage. On the other hand, Derringer is known to spread it wide, so the question is, would he have done the same if not under medication. After waking up and finding panties in his bed, he trying to figure out who it was. Smdh! What gets me, he was more concern that he did not use a condom. Maybe if he used one, it would not matter who the woman was that he slept with. When he does find out, he is taken back and shocked. He never thought Lucia could be so bold. However, he plans to confront her, but his feelings get in the way and instead of confronting her, he desires her. His memories of that night and her scent overpowers his emotions.

This is a Cinderella story with panties. It was a cute, humorous short love story. I give it a 4 out of 5 rating. At some point, I may re-read because I found it far-fetched but interesting.
