This is book #1 of the Inevitable series. Kora and Tariq were two friends, lovers, and soulmates. Through their horrendous childhood past, they stuck together to support and hold each other up in times of trouble. There wasn’t a time in their relationship, they did not have each other’s back. No matter the circumstances or directions they took, they always seem to circle back to each other. Tariq and Kora was the definition of unconditionally love. I love the chemistry and connection between these two, they had a true friendship that was unbreakable. The first chapter, the sex was hot and steamy, which kept me reading. Half-way through the book, knocked me off track when Kora’s daughter appeared, wondering where she come from, kept me in suspense to a deeper story that was told.

Kora and Tariq’s love was eternal, and their dedication was immeasurable. This book was a work of art. I enjoyed each chapter of this book and look forward to reading it again. Although, I chose the audio which was excellent, but I need a hard copy to add to my collection of books. This is the second book I have read by Christina C. Jones and I am not disappointed. She is on my favorite author’s list. I gave this book a 5 out of 5 stars review.
