Hot Westmoreland Nights by Brenda JacksonMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Chole is the owner of a magazine company and Ramsey owns a sheep ranch. Chole spotted Ramsey on the street one day and wants him for an interview and to pose for the cover of her magazine, but Ramsey had already said no. So, Chole decides to pay him a visit at his home and he mistakes her for the cook he hired from the temporary agency. Not giving her time to explain who she was, he just blamed her for being late, giving her his expectations and took off. He didn’t even ask her name. Deciding this would be a good opportunity to help him out with feeding his crew and in turn, she could get Ramsey to do the article. But instead, things got sexually heated. These two had a deep magnifying passion. As they say, a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach and although Chole could cook her butt off, it was more than food that put these two together.
Ramsey had not been with a woman for quite a while and wasn’t intending to start now, so he was a bit grouchy, but he had an attraction for Chole that was uncontrollable. When he found out who she really was and not the cook he hired from the agency, all hell broke loose and he felt betrayed, but in all honesty, she tried to tell him twice who she was and each time, he blew her off. But the love he had for her, could not keep him away. This was a sweet love story with a happily ever after. I enjoyed this book. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars.
