Bachelor Untamed by Brenda JacksonMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is the story of Ellie and Uriel. At the time Ellie was sixteen and Uriel was twenty-one and while staying at the Lake house, Ellie got a dare from her friend Darcy to kiss Uriel. Without too much hesitation, Ellie agreed to the dare, considering she was attracted to Uriel and wanted to kiss him anyway. Once Uriel found out the kiss was based on a dare, he got pissed off and would not talk or encounter Ellie after the innocent. Ten years later, Ellie’s Aunt Mabel passed away, leaving her everything including the Lake house. While at the Lake house to pack up her Aunt’s belongings, she decided to stay for a while when she noticed Uriel staying next door in his parents Lake house. When they finally saw each other, Uriel is no longer mad, but apologize for his anger ten years ago and he is also quite attracted to Ellie.
Soon as things progress between the two, he proposes to have affair giving her time to think it over. But in the meantime, Ellie founds out that her Aunt was writer and left an erotic romance novel unfinished. Ellie figured she could finish this novel, but she needed some inspiration and having an affair with Uriel would be perfect, killing two birds with one stone. However, when Uriel finds out, he is mad again and storms off leaving the Lake house, feeling that he was used again. However, Ellie tracks him down, makes her case and puts him in check.
Yes, I like the story, but Uriel never seem to stick around for an explanation, he was quick to get offended, hurt and run off. It was fun to read how they came together after ten years and how their relationship developed. I will give this book, 4 out of 5 stars.
