Night Hawk by Beverly JenkinsMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Maggie Freeman, beautiful, feisty, determined and intelligent that stayed in mounds of trouble and Ian Vance aka the Preacher, U.S Marshall and bounty hunter, handsome, protective, firm and didn’t take no shit.
After Maggie is arrested for accidentally killing a white man, while trying to defend herself. Ian gets the job of taking her to the Sherriff office. From there, they are on a traveling adventure and passions between the two flairs up. Both are so stubborn headed, it is hard to find the romance, but you see the passion. However, these two are made for each other. Rough and Ready!
Love the bible scriptures, made me think of the movie, “Book of Elijah.”
I give this one a 4.00, it was good book, but I listen to it on audio, and I did not care to much for the narrator with the voice of Maggie's, although he did good with Ian’s voice. Overall, I really enjoyed the story.
