Review: The Last Black Unicorn

The Last Black Unicorn The Last Black Unicorn by Tiffany Haddish
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love this book. Haddish coming to age story was sad, adventurous and funny. What I loved is that she was real, raw and bold. I admire her honesty! She does not leave you guessing. Haddish told and spoke her truth. She reflects on the struggle and politics of women comedians and the sexual indication. She tells the story of mental health of her mother, the abandonment of her father, the abuse of her husband and the treatment of being in the foster care system. She fought through her challenges and succeeded. Her determination to succeed is much respected.
I read the book along with the audio. For me personally, whenever I get a chance to listen to the author, I do because it gives the book a more true or real perspective of the story. This is a book I could re-read. 4 STARS for African Princess Tiffany!
