Rare Danger by Beverly JenkinsMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Jasmine Ware, a librarian turned business owner, where she obtains rare books for upscale clients. When one of her book dealers/family friends, Elliott goes missing after his business partner Otis turns up dead at Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan, Jasmine finds herself to be a target due to her association with Elliott. What could Elliott and Otis have been involved in that she could possibly be associated with? What is the mystery behind the killing of Otis and the disappearance of Elliott?
Going back a bit, Jasmine goes on a blind date from hell, set up by her best friend, but when her date ditch her leaving her stranded, she meets Torr Noble, an Air Force Veteran, and owner of his own private security. The attraction runs deep between the two and she know she will probably never see him again. But low and behold, she has a meeting with a new client the following morning, and it is Torr Noble. After receiving a phone call from an associate regarding the criminal investigation, Torr must figure out how Jasmine, the woman he just met, and his brother Terri are involved and why are they on the investigation list.
Once Torr realizes Jasmine is in danger, the adventure begins! Torr will do whatever is necessary to save her. However, Jasmine being the daughter of ex-cops and raised to protect herself, she is confident of protecting herself. But it makes it all much better with Torr to her rescue. I love Torr’s mannerism on how smooth and passionate he is with Jasmine. This book is sexy and humorous. I give this book a 4 out of 5-star rating. This was a good quick read with a lot of adventure and suspense.
